Customer Loyalty Savings Program

Posted by admin On December - 19 - 2009

Competition is fierce. What does one do when competitors attack from all angles? Once, small companies would compete against large companies by offering lower prices. Now, in this age of Big Box Stores, the big companies offer prices lower than many competitors can sell at and stay in business. I believe customers should be respected and prices should be set so a company can pay the bills, the employees, and come out with a slight profit at the end of the year. Unfortunately, companies have become greedy over the years and strive for huge profits. This in return causes customer to look for lower prices, and when the big companies see their losses, they follow suit to drive out the competition. My philosophy is that if we all can run our businesses fairly, we can all have an income. But greed seems to trump, and sadly, businesses fail to realize the damage they create by following such patterns.

How does David beat Goliath in this new economic trend? Better service? Maybe, but customers generally find competitors services adequate enough. We have introduced a program that takes these problems head on. No cards, no gimmicks. Just a simple program to help build our brand and to maintain customer loyalty.  So, if you are a customer and are interested in our program, contact me and I will fill you in. I wish I could tell you all about it here, but Goliath is watching.

Happy Holidays from Saymore Trophy

Posted by admin On December - 19 - 2009

Well, it has been a little while since I posted. This time of year gets a bit hectic in both business and personal lives.

I would like to thank all of our customers who continue to support our business. We do our best to offer engraving and personalized products in this typical off season for trophies. Our website continues to grow and change and bringing in orders from across the United States. In this economy you have to do many things, and offer many services, just to keep afloat. I am happy to see the Saymore trophy Facebook page doing well and am glad to see customers utilizing our 10% off facebook coupon.

2009 was an interesting year and we tried many new things. Some worked, some did not, but we are happy to see that we will enter 2010 in business. We are introducing some new programs, some new products, and some new services to help stimulate our trophy sales. We look forward to growing our relationships with our customers.

Thank you all.

From all of us at Saymore Trophy Company, have a happy and safe holiday season.

Sincerely,

Gregory Slossar, Owner

Satisfied? Content? Success does not allow for it.

Posted by admin On November - 23 - 2009

My employees always seem to have a good laugh when they see me doing something new at the shop. I often hear “Here he goes again,” or “Now what are you doing?” Well, success does not come with being content. Sitting back or relaxing is fine to do, as long as you are thinking about your game plan. I believe businesses are succesful when they are always revaluating their product lines, their displays, their processing methods, their stock, their organization, and their advertising program.

Currently, I am in the process of changing our website for the fifth time in four years. I also have changed my showroom about five times too. Why all the changes? Well, I have not been satisfied. Just like in life, we are all working towards a better life, and in business it is no different. A stagnant business is a dying business. You must keep the business fresh and always new and when you reach the point when you just don’t care anymore, well that is the time you get out.

Many people make the mistake of building up their business, getting it right where they want it, and then ride it out. The problem is, there are many bumpy roads that are not able to be seen. If we do not stay engaged in our business, we lose sight. We start losing touch of where the industry is heading, what the latest technologies are, and what new products are being offered by your competitors. It is our job as business owners to consistently drive our business towards future success. Yes, we also have to spend those profits. Not only to make more money, but to help build that concrete foundation, for the concrete is always getting cracks.

So, in a nutshell, this helps explain our new website design. Is it perfect? Are we content? No. And I am glad, for complete happiness is not healthy for business.

Sincerely,
